Trust Your Certified Evaluation from Anderson Safety Associates.
ASA uses a testing device approved by the American Society for Testing and Materials to provide your firm with accurate, objective coefficient of friction (COF) measurements backed by a date-and-time stamped computer generated printout produced directly from the testing device.
ASA takes a proactive approach to help our clients assess the slip resistance of both proposed flooring selections and completed projects for compliance with ADA, OSHA and ANSI standards.
Our traction compliance testing service offers a quality assurance (QA) program to assist architects, contractors, and facility owners with the selection of appropriate flooring surfaces with pre and post installation testing to ensure a safer environment in the projects they develop through the utilization of testing to the ANSI A326.3 national standard.
We can provide COF measurements under both dry and wet conditions.
BOT-3000E Slip Tester
The BOT-3000E is a drag-sled meter, which means that it crawls along the floor under its own power at a constant speed, measuring the resistance to slip of a standardized piece of rubber loaded into the bottom of the machine. The BOT-3000 performs a test without human input except for the pressing of a button, making it more difficult for the operator to manipulate the results of the test. The BOT-3000E is no longer being manufactured or serviced by the manufacturer. The BOT-3000E, a different model, takes photos of the floor in front of itself while running the test.
ASA assists commercial flooring contractors or installers with testing the coefficient of friction when they have completed their installation of a new product. This provides the benchmark for a safe floor.
Property managers, building owners, etc. who might be experiencing dangerous or unsafe floors and slip, trip and fall accidents should also contact ASA for assistance with resolving risk.
